In its ongoing effort to provide students with a valuable education, IAR teams up with some of the most important companies in the audio business.

AKG Acoustics
AKG Acoustics
Students at IAR use microphones by AKG Acoustics, such as the AKG C-414, designed for recording vocals and solo instruments. For nearly 60 years, AKG, headquartered in Vienna, Austria, is one of the world's best-known manufacturers of microphones, headphones and wireless systems.
Apple Computer
Apple Computer
IAR's computer labs include more than 70 Apple G5s loaded with the latest digital music production software. IAR has also partnered with Apple in a number of events. These include a "Classrooms Rock" seminar for high school music teachers and open houses at which Apple has presented its GarageBand music editing software.
Arlene's Grocery
Arlene's Grocery
A legendary live music venue on Manhattan's Lower East Side, Arlene's Grocery hosted IAR's "Next Level" competition at which student finalist performers competed in front of audio professional judges.

Neumann is well known in the audio industry for its superior quality microphones. Users have included the Beatles, Natalie Cole, Bryan Adams, Celine Dion and Beyoncé. IAR students use Neumann microphones such as the U67, KM83i, KM84i and KM86i in the recording studio.
PMP World Wide
PMP World Wide
We heard the chatter and realized the need for the production game to be better organized on the Internet. The PMP is the online representation of what happens on a daily basis; buyers need to know where they can always find quality production, producers need to know where the buyers are at. If its your intention to get involved in that process your welcome to setup shop and give it a go.
Reason
Reason
In digital music production and MIDI labs, IAR students use Reason software by Propellerhead for composing, sequencing and recording using their own individual workstations. With Reason, students are able to create virtual studio racks to turn their ideas into music and beats. Students also learn how to use Reason in conjunction with Digidesign’s ProTools.
Tascam
Tascam
All of IAR's post-production lab workstations include a TASCAM DA-88 Digital Multitrack Recorder. Students use the DA-88s to record stems of sound effects, dialogue replacement and music for their post-production lab projects such as television commercials or movie trailers.
Waves Plug-ins
Waves Plug-ins
In IAR's main recording studio, students have access to all of the latest Waves Diamond TDM Plug-ins. Maxx Bass, L3 multimaximizer, linear phase EQ and Renaissance Compressor are just some of the plug-ins that students learn to use in the recording studio for tracking, mixing, mastering, post-production and sound design.
