| Audio for Film Awards Fall 2012 The latest round of The Institute of Audio Research’s Audio for Picture Awards was held this past week for a massive turnout of students and their families. The event featured a viewing of a variety of film and commercial clips whose sound and dialogue were overdubbed by students in Post Production. Best Dialogue went to Raul Polanco for Fantastic Mr. Fox. Wren Werner and Chase Michael Pallante tied for Best Sound Effects with Werner’s rendition of The Node, and Pallante’s take on Transformers. Best Original Score went to Jose Santiago for Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. Kayce Gillespie took 2nd Place Overall with her creative vision of The Cell, while Mike Salerno took Best Overall for his riveting remake on a Mercedes-Benz commercial. As a whole, there were some excellent submissions highlighting the incredible hard work and talent of our latest graduating class. We’d like to congratulate these most recent winners, and as always we look forward to hearing what they come out with next! |
