We all go to the movies, view DVDs and watch television. Over the last few years, the audio portion of that experience has changed dramatically in technology and importance. The consumer is now more aware of how a viewing experience sounds. This has put increased value on the quality of the audio production. The process of adding a soundtrack to a completed film or video is called audio post production. This course introduces the student to this world of audio post production. The magic behind sound design, dialog replacement and final mixing are demonstrated. Students do hands-on production and mixing of their own sound tracks to popular commercials and movie scenes.
